How do I reschedule my appointment?

You can request to reschedule appointments within your Patient Fusion patient portal account, eliminating unnecessary phone calls.


Note: You must have a patient portal account to request to reschedule appointments with your doctor. For more information on how to create an account, see How do I sign up for a Patient Fusion account? .


Request to reschedule a confirmed appointment

1. Log into your patient portal account and select the Appointments tab.  Locate the confirmed appointment and click Reschedule.  


2.  A notification will display, allowing you  to choose a new time from the schedule and enter any necessary notes. Once you have selected the time, click Request to reschedule.


3.  Your patient portal account will display the request to reschedule under the Upcoming drop down at the top of the page.



4. You’ll receive an email notification confirming that you have requested to reschedule your appointment. Note: You are responsible for your original appointment until the reschedule request is confirmed


5. You will be notified via email when the reschedule request is approved or denied by your doctor’s office. If approved, the appointment will be listed as Confirmed under your Upcoming appointments. If declined, the original appointment will be listed as Confirmed. To view the office’s reasons for denying your request, click on Appointment details.



Note: Charges may apply. Appointment change requests may result in the cancellation of your original appointment.  Please call your doctor’s office if you have any questions.


Request to reschedule a pending appointment

If you need to reschedule a pending appointment request that hasn’t yet been processed by your doctor’s office, clicking Reschedule will automatically replace your original request with the new date and time. This request will still need to be approved by your doctor’s office.


1. Log into your patient portal account and select the Appointments tab. Locate the pending appointment you would like to cancel and click Reschedule.



2.  A notification will display, allowing  you to choose a new time from the schedule and enter any necessary notes. Once you have selected the time, click Request to reschedule.



3. When the reschedule request is approved or denied you will be notified via email. Alternatively, you can call your doctor’s office to discuss the appointment.
